Patron Reviews for Home Depot

RATED 3 Star Rating - As Expected - OK to Recommend (3 stars) by PALMCOASTIAN777 on Jul-19-2011 Report Abuse
As Expected - OK to Recommend     This place is okay. While BIRD here, seems to be the stores manager or REP, the store provides decent service, with a slightly less than positive attitude. I tried to thank an employee in the paint dept, and the older gentleman simply shrugged my compliment off, as if I had insulted him. Don't expect the greatest of attitudes from everyone here. Seems that this store is on the rise, from the previous comments.   And BIRD, we are east. Why don't you go live in the ocean?

RATED 4 Star Rating - Well Done - Would Use Again (4 stars) by BIRD on Feb-23-2011 Report Abuse
Well Done - Would Use Again     I see that all the negative comments are years old, not anything in the last couple years. SO, I suspect that the people are now well trained and doing ok. Everyone has a learning curve on a new job. I also know that what you give out--you get back. If a customer is antsy and negative with a new employee, it affects everyone. If you have never been a customer service employee, then you don't have a clue what crap they put up with. A customer thats earned themselves a troublemaker label, will end up with an experience your talking about. Patience is a virtue, if they are shorthanded--then they are SHORTHANDED!!! Your in Florida now, if its not to your liking--then move back east where everyone acts the same.

RATED 5 Star Rating - Top of the Line - Highly Recommended (5 stars) by JOERYAN on Jan-13-2009 Report Abuse
Top of the Line - Highly Recommended     My Mom wanted a live Christmas Tree this year, and after shopping several stores, we decided on one from Home Depot. There wasn't a large selection at any store, but Home Depot's trees seemed freshest. The tree was beautiful, smelled great, and would have lasted well beyond New Year's Day. When we took it down on New Year's Eve, it had lost few needles, and still looked and smelled great.

RATED 2 Star Rating - Below Expectations - Try at Own Risk (2 stars) by SIRENGARG on Nov-29-2006 Report Abuse
Below Expectations - Try at Own Risk     I agree with past comments. I wanted pricing on some slate tile and stood waiting for 15-20 minutes for one of two women working the area. They were at the desk. One was helping a customer, who kept leaving and then coming back. I tried to talk to the girl for a moment to ask her the price of just a few tiles and she IGNORED me. Then I needed to get some sand...I needed very specific sand for it was going to be for a pet. If I got the wrong sand, it could KILL my animal. I was told by a man on the floor to ask the contracters. I waited at the desk for 10 minutes before a cashier who kept looking at me paged one. They told me to ask the man on the floor (same guy who told me to ask them!)...I finally HELPED MYSELF. Thankfully, I was knowledgable enough about what I needed and did get the right sand, but an opinion by someone who is suppost to be trained on the products they sell would have been nice.

RATED 1 Star Rating - Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware! (1 stars) by MIDWEST_GURL on Nov-29-2006 Report Abuse
Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware!     The people who work at the Special Orders Department are nice, and I had one very nice man help me in lumber one time, BUT (and this is not their fault) for the most part, you have to really really really search for an employee in whatever department you need help in. They understaff this Home Depot AND undertrain (which corresponds with other comments made before mine). Despite appearances, this Home Depot is NOT stocked with all the same things as the stores in Daytona and even St. Augustine. It seems that they never have what you need and the people in RETURNS are purrrrty nasty! Oh, p.s. their prices are HIGH on a lot of things. If you are counting your coins, better compare costs first depending on what you are purchasing.

RATED 2 Star Rating - Below Expectations - Try at Own Risk (2 stars) by SANTIBEL on Sep-18-2006 Report Abuse
Below Expectations - Try at Own Risk     Employees are friendly and nice, but, do not know what they are doing. I don't blame the employees, the blame goes to MANAGEMENT. Stock is always low, and they never order any additional stock. I drive all the way to Daytona, to LOWES, just to be able to find what I need in stock. Is such a pleasure to have a better selection of stock items at Lowes.

RATED 5 Star Rating - Top of the Line - Highly Recommended (5 stars) by FOOLISHONE on Sep-16-2006 Report Abuse
Top of the Line - Highly Recommended     Awesome Store. Absolutely Awesome Store Management. I'd give them 10 stars, they deserve it. You folks are complaining too much, those employees work their butts off there to bring you such a nice place to shop. You should be grateful that Home Depot even came to your town in the first place.

Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware!     I agree with all negative comments below. I always get the run around from lazy and unfriendly employees, who if you do find one they're too busy talking to another fellow lazy employee. And when one of them finally does acknowledge you standing there asking for help THEY KNOW NOTHING! Then they send you across the store to someone else who walks away as soon as they see you approaching them or who also KNOWS NOTHING! I think I've only experienced one friendly and helpful employee in past three months of going there for home improvements. I'd rather drive 35 mins. to Lowes where the employees are helpful than deal with this store.

Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware!     No one in this store ever seems to know what they are talking about. No one is knowledgeable about their department. Cashiers are very unfriendly and nothing you need is ever in stock.
